Dr. Emmanuel Temiotan Ogbomida | Researcher | Academic Leader | Advocate for African Research Excellence
Dr. Emmanuel Temiotan Ogbomida is the Director of the National Centre for Energy and Environment (NCEE), a research Centre of the Energy Commission of Nigeria located at the University of Benin, Nigeria. He is an accomplished scholar and research leader with extensive experience in energy and environmental research, committed to advancing African scholarship, strengthening research capacity, and linking local scientific efforts with global knowledge networks.
His work focuses on promoting sustainable development through innovation, interdisciplinary research, and institutional collaboration.
Dr. Ogbomida previously served as Director of Research, Innovation, and Consultancy at Copperbelt University, Zambia, where he played a key role in promoting research commercialization and academic–industry partnerships. He is also a Visiting Professor at Hokkaido University, Japan, contributing to international research collaboration and academic exchange.
He is the founder of Mukuba UniPod, an innovation hub established in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Accelerator Lab, designed to foster entrepreneurship, research-driven innovation, and youth capacity development.
